AQ STARS for Make-A-Wish is currently in its fourth year as an organization at Aquinas College. We are dedicated to supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan® and their mission of enriching the lives of children with hope, strength, and joy by making their most magical wish come true. AQ STARS sees to it that wishes continue to come true for children with life-threatening medical illnesses by assisting with financial, inspirational, and motivational support while providing an outlet for college students to make a difference in the lives of others. Our group started in the midst of studying for final exams in May of 2005, thanks to the encouragement of future Miss Michigan and co-founder of the very first STARS chapter, Angela Corsi. Since then, our club membership has nearly tripled, reaching close to 100 members in the 07-08 school year! This year we have also been fortunate enough to become more involved with the wish granting process through the Grand Rapids office. We look forward to being a part of making wishes come true for children here in West Michigan for many years to come.
